The logic of change begins with ourselves but few realize
Many try to change others to effect change but, alas! Never
Using the same formula and method to solve an existing problem is a mule's choice
If it can & shall, the problem would have been extinguished
There is method in his madness

Sitting by idly & alone is not loneliness
It allows mental indulgence发呆 ~ to slip into void-space
A corner where dreams and reality mix at no risk
Getting up and unwind does not mean avoidance of reality
Some times, some day ~ this is where sanity revives

Keep away from negative people

The power of realization lies in the self; nobody can bail you out of misery and failure

7+ billion Earthlings peppered around Earth
Sadly, they are broadly classified as Whites, Blacks & Yellows ...the skin color
What about aborigines? Unclassified
During natural disasters, the world becomes united to save and salvage
Blood donation rise
When saving lives, nobody ask if the blood comes from "white, black or yellow"  
Yet, they discriminate racistly when well and alive
Wars and destruction are all man-made

GOD did not create 'classes' of people but human beings

July is 2/3 gone and the year is more than half utilized
Time and tides wait for no man
The tough gets tougher in a challenging world
Nothing is promised

Winners get the trophy and write history
Losers bite the dusts
Complaints and remaining indifference never change the course of life; it prolonged sufferings
If you want to make a difference, stand tall, adopt changes & the world change with you

I have been compacting time, adding stress to myself
I am in a hurry as i aged & move nearer to expiry
My bucket list is full with much to do
Will tomorrow comes? Yes
If it doesn't, my bucket list expires too

The Lightness Of Living

The beauty of life is it sprouts out of nowhere
Water is the beginning of life and living
The tiny amoeba is the catalyst to begin with
The beauty of Nature inspires
Soon, summer will give way to Autumn
There is a challenge to remain unchanged

Every morning is the sweetest beginning
The darkest gives way to the dawn break
Where heavenly breeze warms the Earth
And the birds & flowers display their spritely colors & songs; hymns soothe any ailing Souls
Where & when morning has broken & new inspirations, opportunities and lucks are laxly sprinkled and rule 

A good guy is like the candle
He burns so that others will be brightened up
No person can nor should burn both ends of the candle
He who use youth to trade for health is foolish
Every selfish persons cannot live to enjoy an honest harvest
There are no fools & stupidity has no known cures
Be yourself, be genuine
Nobody is any poorer if each plays their roles well
The Angels will guard your well-being

Live simply and enjoy the days as you pass
Luxuries are not a necessity
The warmth and lightness of being lift our Souls
Why bother to struggle if you know your time is limited
The time in one's hands slip easily and naturally
Be the smart person

Living happily and lightly allow you to float through the difficulties you encounter
Nothing is permanent

Go... Find a niche, your private space & you will live well

Stock Markets @Lunar Eclipse

life goes in cycles and so does stockmarket...

Lunar Eclipse @ Blue Moon

The Blue Moon – second of two full moons in one calendar month – will pass through the Earth’s shadow on January 31, 2018, to give us a total lunar eclipse; the first of two Blue Moons in 2018, the  super Blue Moon eclipse!

Typically, a total  lunar eclipse  also coincide with a sharp turndown of the financial market but this 'once in a blue moon total lunar eclipse' seems to have a reverse effect. Stockmarkets, the world over, have been rising.

Will it last?  I do not think so.
I  hazard to guess the drop will be sharper and more damaging in due course.
For those who cannot wait to put your money into the markets for fear of 'missing out' ~ Good Luck
I would rather be late than sorry; 31st January 2018 is not very far away

Come whatever may
Stay healthy & be happy in this depressing year

Where you least expect will happen
Where the impossible is made possible
The sudden change of fortune is real & immediate
If you are not there, however & whatever changes is/are irrelevant

A Better Tomorrow Starts Now

free, idle or simply nothing better to do...

Being free is different from idling
There are times when I must do something
Though I may not need to do anything
That's the toughest

When the mind idles, let it idle
But, the idle mind is a devil's workshop
Worst, mine is filled with webs of wasteful ideas
I cannot allow myself to be wasted away

By proceeding to do something out of nothing
I inevitably step onto the wrong direction
I seek guidance in the AlMighty but Her instructions is "moved not & be contented"
Yet, I move
Human follies aplenty as we seek guidance yet slides into dismay paths
The end result is nothing but loss of resources, time and self-agony

A simple "Good Morning" is what I often send to many friends and acquaintances
Some respond, many don't
Some wonder why I'm so free👀😀
I do it to motivate, encourage and "say hello"

There are a few who can never respond as they have pass on
They happen to be the nice ones who returned my "Hellos"
Do not ever think it's age ~ young ones pass on too

I have read and learn that I should "ignore those who never respond"
Good advice; I just send when my heart agrees
Maybe, some day, they will never ever receive my "Good mornings & hellos again" ~ after I pass on

This is an old shack/house in a dilapidated village in Penang
But, within lives a Master whose orthopaedic skills the western doctors and science would admire & yearn to have
He cures many with broken bones & illnesses that western doctors termed "vege-state" or "hopeless"
He don't seek fame nor fortune

I have known him for many years & have referred some to see him 江湖神医 ; only those who believe will visit 缘分

He is busy at most times and his patients come from 'words of mouth'; but when I visit him, he will always make himself available
I am honored

What has this to do with "free, idle or simply nothing better to do..."
Plentiful😅😍

I try to help or offer help to the less privilege, poor and less fortunate
I contribute to society in my own small way
A peck of water in the desert is better that a feast in the oasis
I try to fill my free time with an awesome bucket lists instead of straying

Some day soon, I will also leave this world
I shall do whatever I can to contribute to the betterment of Mankind
There is no shadow of greatness, just like drops in the ocean, I shall play my role
My intent is clear; to build a better tomorrow

Prepared Confidence

be prepared, being prepared is ...

How prepared can prepared be? No one can be 100% prepared
Preparing in excess is a "wolf-cry", that is, fearmongering
Terrorism; It's not if but when is fear mongering
No one will tempt a bombing or attack by being provacative
We have the best defence in SEAsia & who's our enemy(ies)? It's a expensive egoistic game
Sure, we need to defend against potential enemy(ies) but at what price? A princely tale of gold

Examinations and job interviews are showdown of personal capabilities
Either you are prepared (read: lucky) or you can tear your hairs off
Between luck and being prepared, I'd take luck
My memory bank is expansive but without luck, I may still struggle for answers
Interview is tricky especially of the foreign Head, HR has already decided to employ one of their own
However prepared, the foreigner Head, HR is prepared to dis-employ you

Have a good laughs; tattoos bear wrong words, so does a T
She, and many others, are simply victims of commerce
The fine prints do not matter as bright colors galore & shine
Tattoos bearing different languages are often a laughing print
Don't do anything you can't get away, rescind or get reprieve
The laughter is always louder and funnier on you

We prepare for growing up, education, settling down, growing old & even departure
But, many are not prepared for health, a healthy life & living
It is the quality of life, not quantity
The old prepares for the young and generations after generations are burdened and worried
儿孙自有儿孙福
Worry not for tomorrow is never promised

The sea is calm but the undercurrent is unseen
The successful man never displays his weaknesses
The gambler never tells of his losses
The conman is persistently confident and lying
The politician speaks half truths
Simply put, the world loves a winner; by any means

To succeed, never show the weaknesses in you
You can walk away but you cannot fall
The more prepared you are, the less likely that you will fall ~ the false facade

Be prepared for everything you want and wish for but never loss confidence

The current men's world record is 9.58 seconds, set by Jamaica's Usain Bolt in 2009
The women's world record of 10.49 seconds set by American Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988 remains unbroken.
I can try but sub-10s is impossible & the winner may not be the fastest; a peaceful mind wins all


BYD Auto in China employs 200,000+ persons/employees
Foxconn has 1,200,000 employees on its payroll
Facebook employs 25,000 only
Wal-Mart Stores Inc has 2,000,000 employees
If jobs give sanity and dignity to humans, large employers must be the biggest guardian angels
Will Singaporeans find a localized guardian angel who'd give them jobs? Hopefully ...soon

These are bilimbi (sour starfruits)  
They've grown abundantly on my little garden
I took every effort to nurture the tree with TLC
Moral of the story is "put in an honest day work and you will harvest in due course"
For years, I sleep around 1am and I'm up and running by 6am. Why? As I am a slow learner, I use the extra 3 hours (ideal sleep 8hours - 5 = 3) to read, learn and make up for my weaknesses

Nobody is stupid nor very knowledgeable
Give yourself the chance to be better ...& you will
Time is the best friend; either you walk into progress or you may remain stagnant

前人种树后人乘凉
We build for the future but the future belongs to the children of today
Similarly, if we pollute earth, someday the kids will suffer
Parents work for the kids (future)
There is no 'fruits of success' if nobody works for it
The rich and elites cannot live in a sea of poors
The Generals cannot win wars without soldiers in the trenches

Almost half a year is gone
What have you done & what have I achieved? Nothing much
But, time pass diligently & unknowingly
Like it or not, nothing is permanent
Live the best today and everyday
The commonest language is the "Smile"😀😁

Every living things exist until the last breathe expires

What is the value of rash, brute and abrasive reactions when the outcome is almost always negative? 以柔制刚 The lalangs outlived the grand oak tree in the storm

The trick is to win without even the need to fire the first shot nor throw a punch
Walking away may be the best defence

Fools and stupidity are cultured & nurtured
They respond to reflexes
Do you need to teach them to be smarter? No, as they never appreciate you
Mistakes are correctable but fools repeat them
Life is too short to argue with dogmatic mules

Singapore is a beautiful city but expensively so
The bright city lights are alluring 
The sunny island no longer belongs to true blue Singaporeans as the city-gate is never closed
Loose immigration policy allows foreigners to squad & camp here to seek for jobs
Good? Bad? Well, it was good

Worry not
It's not all damned and gone
If you change, the world changes with you
Singapore Dream is still a possibility
Go forth and regain your dreams
 

Alone is not loneliness
Shoot for the moon and if missed, you'd be with the stars
前无古人后无来者 
Who dares win ; the tech-world has created the most billionaires in the shortest time 
Disruptive technology is here to stay

Let's not worry about tomorrow
With a stroke of luck and plentiful of initiatives, creativity and 'daringness'
A brighter tomorrow awaits you

Life Is A Drag

Everyone thinks my life's very colorful and is a breeze
How many know what's it like when breeze whiff along on a cold winter
The snow flakes whiten the grounds and is refreshing
But, who will ever understand the wintry chill within? Alas

I use colors to brighten my dullest moments
I muster the loss strengths to project the facade 
Bravery is but ... a face
Nothing collapses

I shall wriggle into retreat; hiding in the tiny hole that ostrich does
The fight ain't over until its over
活着就是一口气 人在事在 人亡事无
There is no hero after life ends; it's history

What's a Merlion? Nothing, not even folklore
The Singapore today is a Merlion; a pretense
The promises of "for you, with you" is "you pay for whatever you wants"; expensively at times
Policies are written to restrict, contract and ringfence your rights, freedom and voice

*One-Man assembly must be very futuristic 
*One needs to apply for permits (reads "permission") to protest or stage a view
*Intention to raise taxes are announced to let you "get used to it &/or be prepared"
*You have the freedom of speech but, after your speech, you may not be free

This is my country; the clean green sunny island that is forever the deepsea "port of call" linking East/West

When you treat your fellowmen with awe, appreciation and comradeship, the country progress
The thinkers & politicians plot while the entrepreneurs plough and harvest
The managers manage while the working class works
There is equitable distribution and sharing and all's well

Come what may; days & nights come and go
Sufferings and happiness never lasts
When push comes to shove, the rich cannot live in a sea of poors
The tightening of freedom of expression will decimate creativity,  initiatives & risk-taking
In the Kingdom of the Blind, the One-eye Jack is the King
The "frog in the well" world is the diameter of the well

Go forth and push the envelope
The world is as big as your mind
No body can take away your thoughts nor lock your dreams
Everything will be ok

Some day, life is a drag

Keep going; the winner is not necessarily the fittest, tallest, smartest
It's the one who is left standing after all had disappeared

Go for a walk & enjoy the breeze

Take a deep breathe & exhale slowly

Many use health to earn wealth
And struggle to pay for health with little wealth

The Brightness Of Aging And Time

One third of 2018 has passed & May has arrived unannounced but just as decidedly commanding
Nothing much has been achieved yet every day is a challenge
Guess, living is about taking out every day succinctly and with minimal efforts
Whether you are happy or sad, rich or poor, hungry or gluttony, weak or strong - time flies
When was the last time you visit or speak to your parents? Or, nevermind👻😈

Time and tides wait for no man 岁月不留人
Like it or not, time moves by the seconds and the physique rebuilds or deterioriates
We all die over time & death's the leveller
Do not leave the best till tomorrow or any special occasion as our expiry begins with the last breathe
Consume all that you want in moderation & in earnest cum enjoyment

Tomorrow is never promised

I was helpless and in the dumps
I never complain, grit with determination and a zeal to live
I arduously trudged the hash conditions; a step at a time
Deep inside me and with HOPE, some day, I'd see daylight
I did & I learnt not to fall into total darkness again

I use a match stick to beat "there is light at the end of the tunnel"
I don't maneuver in total darkness初一 but on full moon初十五
The stars are my lighthouse😍
When my chips are low, i recoil into oblivion
Live to fight another day 人在事在 人亡事无

There are no heroes; dead heroes are called Martyrs

No amount of rewards can bring a dead man back to live
Your family & dearest ones need an 'alive you', as always
Together, conquer the future with ease but zest
Lightens the heart and stay healthy; health is the best present to ALL

Your parents feed & clothe you
But, when they aged, you hardly have time for them
Being too busy is the commonly heard excuse

Do you notice they'd cook your favorite dish repeatedly just because you love it & you complained "oh! same dish again"; that's an expression of 'silent parental love'

Whenever you are faced with failures and setbacks, you borrow their shoulders to cry
But, in your glorious times, they are a distraction, annoyance and burden
They will pass on ...soon
And, you'd be old in due course
Your offsprings will dish out the same treatments to you; it is not that you handphone has no battery nor money, it's Karma visiting you

We may be creatures of comfort and convenience💦but life is finite
Do not bite the hands that feed you & detest the calls your aged parents dialled
They just needed to know you are well and safe
They knew their hourglass is running out
Give them your attention, however minimal

There is NO generation gap; it's for you to bridge it

I may not have achieved much but I have a peace of mind
Time shared is time manifested 
 Someday, life becomes a memory

There Are No Fools But Greed

there are no fools, not even April fool...

Age is a reflection but the physique also shows over time
Not everywhere but a ball of white
Lightening as age moves forward
Surely, some colors will do the trick but nothing's like natural

The physique can be trained, toned and built
But, the journey gets tougher as age moves forward
Nonetheless, it's mind over body
I shalt remain as healthy & fit as I am determined to make it so

Many who passed 50s are already in regress mode
Blaming age for physique's deterioration is a fool's escape
We are what we think as we are what we eat too
Age will moves ahead but we can move faster long before it does


Whoever blames others for their predicament and ill-health forget that the sufferer is themselves; even Steve Jobs can only stare at his life-support machines, wealth aside

Everyone wants an escalator ride up the social ladder
Like all glamour and trophies, the path is crowded but desirous
I choose the less traveled as I can manage my own speed
Besides, I can explore and push the frontiers

Arrival & achievements are self-anointed expeditiously
There are no easy paths but the winner needn't be the fittest, cleverest, smartest nor ****est
人在事在 ：留得青山在不怕没柴烧

Everyone wants everything (good) & the best in the world
But, the "Best" is relative
The poor man is looking for his next meal and some warmth against the wintry winds while the rich kid is kicking up a fuss over his Michelin meals; half or well-done

上班了
That was a job and there were no foreign workers rushing to displace Singaporeans then
Every one has a role to play; the Politicians plots, the Managers manage and the workers, work
There were equitable distribution of the fruits & there enough to go round
Nobody was 'sold-out'
Can we say the same today? No
There are no fools but stupidity has no cures

It is greed, not stupidity nor fools, that undermine societal norms & equality
Equality is not communism but an equitable and acceptable distributions that minimize sufferings and offer fair, equitable & fairly stable livelihoods in a dignified environment

The Gini-Coefficient is wider than the ocean
The taxes and fares+fees increases will further burden the commoners
Costs of living issues are daily challenges - the next meal is threatened when 'survival of the fittest' rules
The only cure today is "Change"

When you change, the world changes with you

If you are waiting for the world to change to suit you, you are dead as "dodo"

Be magnanimous, be Compassionate - Give a little to the less fortunate, less well off and 'unables'
