For the last 4 years or so, money have been flowing into the West[WallStreet] & Asia [China/Hk] hollowed out, with the exception of Japan which mirrored WallStreet (Gains in Nikkei - from <17,000 to >39,200) could be negated by exchange rates losses)

 Dedollarisation, wars, economic sabotages, trades sanctions & disputes and restrictions did not 'kill' the flow of funds into the West against better judgement. If anything else, US/Biden must be a shrewd poker player

The Thucydides Trap has, in effect, metamorphosed into an economic war of sorts with the bombing of Nord Stream 1 & Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipelines and the detention and restrictive moves on HuaWei's CFO and its products & technologies.

The tension in Ukraine is ebbing for lack of (donors) funds and the threats by Russia to use all the necessary "weapons-in-hand to win" against whoever intervene, and the Israeli/Hamas conflict which is threatening to engulf the entire region. Fanning Taiwan against China is useless as the real threat in the East is RocketMan of North Korea. Unfortunately, no country can return unscathed in a nuke-laced sabre rattling  

The world will coexist more peacefully together again, not by wars but natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and diseases that will change the face of Earth - To share a note: in an emergency, blood are collected and transfused and nobody asks if the blood is from a chinese, malay, indian, jews, muslim, christian, buddhist, blacks or whites or Dalit

Smart money will find its way to the East as the West's valuation hit the roof and the East provides cheaper PEs and lower valuation, bathe with higher productivity and stability

Money managers are currently too immersed in ETFs, derivatives and algorithms tradings to awake & learn that "when the music stops, the monies are but a number in the trading system"; it's a Zero-sum game

We need to be fearless and indifference to the herd influence

If you are not sure, keep your money for daily feeds; you will survive long enough to witness the fall of the false financial prophets

It is indeed Okay to watch others going to be grilled, soyed, baked or salted; survive to fight the next round

Stock market rewards those who do their homework and the brave

Give In But Never Give Up

Patience is when you are cornered and you cannot respond; there is no choice but to let time takes over

Time is the best friend but when you want fast results, expected patience is a torment by itself

You see and sense your goodwill, contributions and efforts being eroded yet you cannot do anything to arrest the decline nor wrestle back control

Karma has its own timing

What do you do when you know you'd win finally but you must witness the damage unfold, layer by layer? Patience and... more patience

Take it as a lesson and bite the bitter pill; bite tightly until the ill winds blew past

When you regain the upper hand, its the sweetest victory

Every challenging times that I go through is different; in intensity, impact and pains

Why "me" is irrelevant

The earlier that one accept that the world will never be equal nor fair, the less painful it will be

Different persons approach to life differently; the beggar has no choice, the wealthy is spoilt for choices while the elite hoard choices and the dictator demand choices

Give up, walk away, retreat, hibernate and recuperate, learn and hone a new skill and be prepared for the new era; successes go to those who are prepared and ready for new challenges 

Winner takes all but no one, NO ONE, can shines forever... there are days when flowers fade, where too much sunshine makes the place a desert and where flood waters wash away almost everything

There are days that the world stands still, the breeze is stale and the air stagnant but the days are limited yet numbered ~ all shalt pass

Some days, I'd rather be alone, especially the battered days ~ to lick the wounds and find comfort with GOD - HIS omnipresence heals

The world will never be equal and inequality will widens further as selfishness, greed and envy explode to swarm Mankind

Going forward, the world's wealth and resources will be controlled by the top 5% and 85% will wallow at the bottom of the food chain, suffering the curse of poverty, with the remaining 10% being indifferent as they couldn't change the situation...

Someone asked why didn't I respond aggressively and seek 'revenge' & fairness against those perpetrators and traitors? I do not seek material gains any more than is necessary; let me say humbly, "I have enough to live a safe, wholesome life". Besides, it is not for me to teach others a lesson. I don't teach lessons; I take a pound of flesh if I need to react

Reject The Rejection

When a close relative needed help urgently, my door is almost always their nearest stop

It's no small sum but it was a "must help" ~ somehow against better judgement, I helped

When the amount was returned some years later, she was disgruntled and felt that I had gained from helping & it was she who gave me the opportunity [borrowed $250,000 on an asset valued at $500,000, hence my share is 50%. I could have bought the full 100%. Years later, it was sold at $1m and each of us got $500,000] Our relationship never got back to before the loan

In another case, i extended an emergency loan. Two years later, she needed another larger loan urgently, if not yesterday, today! I refused as I have not been paid. Now, the relationship is cold as wintry breeze. Whether i can or cannot collect the (full) sum still remains uncertain. 

I remain cool & collected and all shalt pass. I am just a tool to their ends. 

I have been rejected for 'not' helping and it's fast becoming a norm

Loans with collateral are like water whereas those without collateral are like fire. WATER - When a ship sinks, you can still find the sunken ship. FIRE - In a fire, the ship become ashes    

My experiences with 'friendly' loans have almost always been bad. You find it hard to say "NO" and you'd learn that it's harder to get back thereafter. Long ago, I have learnt that it is better to loss a friend than to loss a friend and (your) money. But, today, I am still falling for the same

Alas! Afterall, I am only a Human, stuffed with emotions... but I am learning to accept rejections

Rejection gives me peace of mind and allow my hard earned monies to grease my life, a day at a time

The fool and his money will soon part

The best strategy is to say "NO" when others ask for favors. If he really needs the favor, he will seek another for help or ask you a second time. If your feeling is still no good, reject him. After all, you will be rejected after you part with your money; the choice is obvious

Trust is built over time yet a single betrayal is enough to break the camel's neck

My business dealings have been based on trust, some called it "credibility"; lost some, made some but always suffer because I am, and have been, too trusting 

In today's scam prone environment, every "Yes" opens the floodgate to potential scammers

I guess, everyone starts with a common yet noble cause and is willing to share the spoils

It is perfectly fine that partners have different views or approaches but as the numbers/dollars get bigger, greed seeps in. The desire to dominate and control gain strength resulting in rivalry, not cooperation and partnership

With divided commitments and clandestine stealth in-fighting, trust is undermined & survival is at stake

It is best to leave the scene to regain some semblance of sanity and integrity ~ money can make but integrity and trust cannot be bought

The occasional betrayals and rejections can be very demoralizing; it takes a wise man to swallow the pains quietly and walk away

Kindness is taken as weakness

Failures & Fail ~ Many who fail did not recover for a simple reason that they blame everything else except themself, refused to examine the causes, sulk and indulge in self-misery 

Worse, they reject logical, level minded and practical solutions

Nobody succeed by repeatedly using the same old solutions on an exiting problem; it's like having a wrong key to the same lock

Avoid those that blame the world except themself for their failures & yet demanding help in an instant. Help has become "no more" incidental but a birthright to them; 蛤蟆永远不会变成青蛙(王子)

Accepting rejection as a norm is not unlike accepting that the world will never be equal; the earlier you accept it, the happier you will be

Bricks and stones break bones, not words

Reject ALL those who reject you for not helping. Helping is incidental, not a birthright

Monday is the new day, new week, new month of the new year 2024 - 1st January, 2024

Life continues, issues continue and ... you continue breathing 人在事在 时间未停留

What will 2024 bring? Unlike the past many years, I will not offer any projections nor speculation

I will just do what & whatever fits ~ my Mind shalt rule and my actions, speak

Whatever tomorrow holds or promises is no longer important, it's the "NOW"

I will reduce and contain the uncertainties, pigeon-holed the risks and let loose my fury of initiatives and plausibility : think through, act within my ability and resources but push newer frontiers

No task is too small nor large when I am ready, willing & prepared

Trust will be sidelined and replace with signed agreements and undertakings

Making money is fun and fulfilling but it's not the defining start point

If I like it, reasonably think it's workable, confident of the outcome, I will do it

The last few years were the best teacher; you need to be useful so that people can engage & 'make use' of (you)

All promises are just PROMISES until delivered

When anyone says "my word is worth the weight in gold", I will take the gold anytime

Am I more materialistic or mercenary? NO. I have enough to go around but I don't have time to waste & spend on scammers and fiends who look for kind persons to exploit

If I don't harvest the economic returns, I can use my time more fruitfully on my family and charity works; not to be exploited and mined like raw resources and sold 赔了夫人又折兵

I have been magnanimous and walk away after being exploited, harmed and suffered losses, not for fear but my inner heart reminds me that Karma will take care. Alas! Why do I need to take the stab on the back then watch Nature punish the recalcitrant? NO more... I will avoid them altogether or 先兵后礼 sign definitive and punitive terms before the start as unfortunately 先礼后兵 being a gentleman doesn't help nor reward nowadays

The fight is in the dog, not it's size

 If you wanna fly like an eagle, you cannot work with turkeys

Time passes but institutions remain... some disappear though

A man must leave behind a legacy, not as a coward who lives & sneak through, but a well-lived, his life

I have chosen to quieten myself into the new year and let my actions speak ~ I will make myself scarce

Being nice, friendly, reaching-out and avoiding confrontations didn't give me satisfaction of peace(fulness), but viewed as weak and gullible

Scarcity raises mystery and inquisitiveness 

Legends are not seen but heard long after they have left the scene and their impacts felt

2024 will surprise

It is the speed of change and the impactful effects that the new year will bring, where even the veterans will be surprised

You cannot win unless you are prepare ahead

For the few that make it over this year, a newfound fortune will give you the handsomest reach

For once, I am more confident & hopeful of success despite deep uncertainty

NewYear ~ Winter Solstice 2024 : The Changes & The Future

I started 2023 confidently; that i am ahead of the future ~ achievements-to-be were as natural as day and night

The year is ending and I have only achieved 30% of what I set out to at the beginning, not because I weren't capable nor careful but because of others envy and greed

I had expected that greed will ground the deals but I didn't expect that someone can be so envious of my past that he'd rather stymied achieving our common goal than to prosper together & be rewarded handsomely

He wants to dictate and control my directions & to show me "who's the boss?" I am no fool and I am prepared to walk away from the deal and let it collapse

He has demonstrated, or tried to demonstrate, that he can do it with or without me

I have no doubt that anyone can make it but with a gamut of talents, we can achieve ten times (10x) more & better

Alas! I will quit the game... I know what I can do and I am not prepared to be drown in a distrustful union & work with persons with sinister motives 空手套白狼

Like everyone, I love money but money alone is no more the key motivator

In 2023, I didn't achieve as much as I started and intended but I evolved; became more organized, are prepared to dumb fiends and parasites, walk away from arguments and be alone

The enjoyment of being alone is satisficing ~ alone is not void neither is it loneliness

I will not trade my Soul with the devil & no money can buy my character and integrity

I cannot change the world nor anybody neither do I intend to ~ I came alone and shalt return alone, enjoy the best between life and death and trek forward to new journeys 50 过后听天命我只尽力而为

I have my fair share of victories and misses and it's time to go with the flows

Man proposes, GOD disposes ~ i have asked for lots of mischievous wants but only get what I needed

GOD doesn't disappoint neither will HE spoils you

Heaven/GOD 天 Whatever you asked for, GOD never answers "Yes or No"; it doesn't mean when you offer richer offerings, you will rewarded better. HE is incorruptible

Land 地 If you care to plough the land, mine the fields and tap the resources, you get your due rewards. The Land provides 种豆得豆 种果得果

Man/People 人 Man must work to crystalize your dreams ~ nothing is impossible ~ brute or brain

Going forward into the New Year 2024 ~ alas! I am not as confident as I'd like myself to be but I have great plans ahead 

Plans are drafted, brainstormed, PPT prepared and steps plotted towards the goal ~ 2024 is going to be the journey of 'experiences', fruiting & harvesting will be the gifts, not the goals

Perhaps, it is age or wisdom

Chasing materials well-beings were the past, experiencing the journey is a newfound joy

Am I retreating with the tail between my legs? NO. Or, was I cowed into submission? NO. I will give my best punches and every bouts is about winning, not an exhibition of vanity 

Glory is mine & my star shall shines, not for a few dollars more but for the legend to live on

The COVID years were used to hone new skills, build up my health, explore new possibilities and getting additional papers

Friends came & went, some stole & left, a few remain and I squared my fortune; made and loss zero

Tough? Yes, but it didn't kill but toughen me

Let go of those parasitic friends, spread some cheers, build new network, explore new possibilities & be REAL - no sympathy to fiends posing as friends nor to cower to threats

Queen Elizabeth II (QE II) and Marilyn Monroe (MM) were born in the same year - 1926 - but the Queen lived until age of 96yo whereas Marilyn died by the age of 36yo

Both made their marks in the world - between life and death, the world is yours to conquer

We are all made unique and armed with a mission on Earth; some called it "Fate"

Everyone is different; every generations are different and opportunities differ over time

Why plans only when new year arrives? I do have 5 years plan and I review every 3 months

This allows me to gauge my accuracy and nearness of every steps taken amidst my limited resources

The further away I am from the start point, the harder it is for me to take a bearing and change course

Besides, cutting loss may not be a choice in due course; it's sink or swim ~ show hand

The last three years were very challenging; promising but alas! Harvest were far and few

Regrets were part of the dividends & experience and all shalt pass

I save every seconds instead of indulging in self-pity by re-investing and deploying my resources in new adventures - reading a book, picking a new hobby, simply relaxing and retreats into the 'wilderness & freedom' from people

I am seeing new headway with minimum to zero headwinds

2023 is such a disappointment but it has it's sprinkles of successes that provided motivations, lights of hopes and opportunities - it was draining but not drown(ing)

A letdown is not a washout 

Believe in yourself and you will move mountains

Opportunities smile at the willing party who never let defeats drown him

Success is sweetest when nobody believes you can and you have already collected your trophy, with champagne & beaus in hand

All I need is a lead ~ the lead that can manifest into success

When you earnestly do something or anything, you either crystalize successes or you gain experiences 

Alas! I have been hitting the rocks, the obstacles - it always start well, build up with seemingly achievable targets, signing on the doted lines is a sure thing, then it got hijacked

Hijacked by the 'goodie', good partners who were pretentiously good and were 'vultures and hyenas' in comradeship

Am I not good at identifying, selecting and judging people? NO! I am good at every EQ-angles but I am too trusting and Do Not (pre)Judge

I believes everyone has a noble heart

Worse, I takes Karma literally ~ but, how many times can I get hurt or cheated before my heart hardens? Give no chances and take no hostage are brutal truths

When you are too nice and generous to others, you pay 

I guess I will remain the same good guy as I benefited from good mentors and guardians who taught me values, moral uprightness, integrity and 'to walk away from sufferings & being taken advantage of'

They said that some day, they'd have to pay... alas! But, today I am bleeding from their maltreatment

I start from poor old days, living 'hand to mouth', snaking around a few odd jobs, working in the morning and go to school in the afternoon & vice versa; no task is too big to do... it was truly 'blood and sweat' money

Well, at least, I don't have time for anxieties, depressions, rejections or pressures as "when the hands stopped, the mouth must stop too 手停，口停 活在当下

I have a choice; either I walk away from the world and reside in GOD's apron or resist magnanimity ~ "take no hostage, who dares win"; be a Warrior Monk

A learned Counsel once told me "Don't fight but if you must fight, fight to win" - drop the gloves and bare your fangs

Years of successes have made me weak; a weakling invites others to take advantage

My suave-self shalt return and the animal instinct nurtured 

Fighting back to regain whatever is rightfully mine is my mission

Kindness is not weakness but to succeed in the world today, it's the spirited fight and the fearless self must take precedence

What is an achievement? Achievement is self actualization, not necessarily substantial

The sun provides light while the moonlight lights up the darkness; aboveall, stars shine when total darkness rule

When all else fails, the glow of light in the heart brightens 

Residing within the heart is GOD ~ the belief that moves mountains and eliminates fears

Nobody has seen GOD & GOD is all about love

Many are disappointed with the selfish policies of "milking the peasants, enriching the elites", not unlike to socialize costs and privatize profits

Everyone wears a mask ~ to mask the real self

The real world has moved away from indifference to pretentious 

The world today lacks compassion, truths are distorted and manipulated. 

The "HAVEs", the "GREEDYs" and the "OPPRESSORS" will hoard resources and dished out crumbs to force the majority to seek, beg and check each other; divide and rule ~  is their tools of control

If doing good goes unrewarded, then why do good? The truths is... if only you will believe, good guys generally die younger or when you least expect. Life on this globe is an opportunity for everyone to repent   

Wars and natural calamities are phases of sufferings and everyone who lives through these harsh environment will return a better person

I suspect that I, like many others, are caught in a global shift of paradigm ~ the speed of change is gathering

To be prepared is the best antidote against the uncertain future

To accept the truths, upskill and upgrade your knowledge and to allow setbacks to fade soonest, dusk away your hurts and move ahead is the latent Art of Success

There is no time for regrets, even revenge has to wait    

If you don't build enough reserves, unable to take punches & setback, there are little chance to succeed

DO NOT waste time on others' opinions about you but direct your energy to positively reinforce yourself, your Soul

Every little achievements help success begets more successes

From time to time, I am lost and my battery is low; I will wriggle back into my shell, away from the crowds to reflect and 'seek' new direction

The world loves a Winner and any broken Soul is a curse ~  avoided by most

I am clawing deep into the Earth with my bare hands to find the next gem-path

Painful, ignored, made#used#of, smile苦中作乐and the world smiles with you

I will return stronger, happier and be a bigger catalyst to make this world better  ~ my own little world

I am not here to impress others neither will their criticisms stick ,,, hateful, of course, but I get to write my own biography

When my time is up, I will gladly move onto the next stage
