The Politics Of Living

Do you really need to live life base on others expectation...

The strong and mighty must look after the weak
The able must lead and care for the less-able
The powerful and the power-to-be is as powerless as when they are alone

The mighty, but aged, lion is powerless when surrounded by hyenas

The Battle of Iwo Jima was a 'necessary' fight to secure an advance post; a war which pitched the Americans against mighty Japanese Imperial Army

Prior to the Japanese invasion, nobody would have thought that these 'tiny Japanese men' could have wrought so much damage to the 'huge' Chinese and make them walked on their knees

History is filled with inspirations and surprises; just as lives will be filled with surprises
If you submit to defeat, you can't look back and blame the world
You reap what you sow
Winner takes all

In any class election, when you choose someone to lead and represent you, you sign a blank cheque
Choose wisely, choose smartly

When one's expectations are reduced to zero, one really appreciates everything one does have”

I can accept that Equality is a dream
I will make my dream a Reality
But, 'Defeat' & "Fear' will never appear in my dictionary

I came alone and I shall return Alone gloriously; I have almost zero expectation

My life, my journey

I Always Win

The trophy is always mine and only I can disown it ...

Open your eyes, open your heart
It make things possible

Contest your inner self and move the envelop... alittle at a time
You will conquer and overcome the perceived difficulties over time

A successful person moves ahead, count his blessings, take what comes, meander his way out of difficulties and arrives at his predisposed goal

A person who starts with doubts, ends in agony and losses his orientation; such battles were lost before starting

Give yourself a/the chance that nobody will
Give yourself a break before you breakdown

A promise remains a promise until delivered

No one is in control of your happiness but you; therefore, you have the power to change anything about yourself or your life that you want to change

Anxieties

Anxious for results, differing expectations, timing differences or simply 'out-of-luck'...

When you are born, your parents were anxious that you should 'grow up quickly' instead of enjoying your babyhood aka their parenthood

When you are 10, its all about schooling and grades whilst your parents worried about gearing for the house, car and other material acquisition

As puberty arrives, they worry about the birds and bees, the wrong company you potentially may get into, the modern day addictions like internet... these being the passing route of growing up; it the natural order of growing up

At 20s and 30s, everyone joins in the 'Worry Game'! You worried about career as your parents too. Money becomes part of the worry or/as in 'lack of it'...

40 is the golden age for the successful; its a 'hockey stick' jump! You come of age and success beacons and shines like the lighthouse guiding the aircraft carrier over narrow straits, the 'haves' and the 'have-nots' still trying but not knowing where is the end game

Hitting 50, its your turn to worry

You takeover the worrying issues that once bogged down your parents; health, harmony, money, a place in society, the imminent parting of dear ones... and take on new ones

Break the 'Anxiety' chain

Whether you are poor or rich, we live through lives with many expectations and challenges
The lesser your expectations, the lesser the setbacks, the lesser you need to worry

Do your best and leave the rest

Do not worry yourself to the grave
Take whatever comes; you need only one meal a day to survive and excel

The rest are bonus

Gold and Gold-wannabes

All that glistens is not gold, but gold will lead the change and charge...

The financial crisis, the dollar weakness, massive debts
The collapse of the West; Portugal, Italy, Iceland, Greece, Spain...
Small and smaller banks collapsed like flies dropping dead in flights
Big banks that are 'too big to fail' were rescued at taxpayers expense

What confidence and faith can the World at large depend on?
Who can the World relies on for leadership and avoid financial disharmony and collapsed?
Who rates the rating agencies that grade others?

China is the poor nation with more than 3trillion dollars in reserves
USA is the rich nation deep in debts
Europe rich is supporting her decadent, dependent fellow-countrymen

Aboveall, the World is flooded with liquidity and hot money

Is money the answer; if yes, whose money is worth their value on paper?

GOLD

When all else fails, GOLD will shine

Watch a new era unfolds...

Inflation will fan prices of properties, commodities and the general class of assets when real value of money losses its shine

Only social disharmony and disturbances can, and will, cure the ills of inflation; the political-will to tame inflation is lacking.
A short-term sharp spike in prices will create gapping spread between the Rich and Poor, the 'Haves' and the 'Have-nots'.
A hungry man is an angry man
A hungry, riotous crowd will forcefully shift prices sharply higher, then lowered after the chaotic hiatus

Gold triumphs in chaos
When PEACE returns, prices will collapsed to more earthly level

Ride the cycles...

Sick

Falling sick is not a crime neither does anyone ask for it...

When you fall sick, pray, and ask if, its curable
If it is, complete the treatment and take your medicines
If its not but containable, take your medicines and go into damage control
Change your lifestyle and adopt changes to minimize deterioration

Most importantly, do not slide into your cocoon and avoid the World at large nor engage in self-denial

Seek cures in alternate medicine if mainstream fails
Most people don't die from their sicknesses; they worry themselves to the graves
If all else fails, there is still HOPEs...

It is expensive seeking treatment可以死不能生病
But, no man will die because he is poor
Its best to remain fit and healthy...but, alas! sometimes its Sophie's choice

When you are sick, get back to basics; sunshine, water, rest, air, exercise and diet
Worrying is poison to the mind, medicines act as antidotes

Live as normally as possible - a stress-less state

Days Of My Life

Some days are made longer than others...

Sunday is shortest; with sleep-in, siesta and laze

Monday is just as short; starts early, coffee breaks, gossips, lunch, review last week's work and planning this week's work

Tuesday is work day; start working, take a break, finishes last week's work... this week has yet to start

Wednesday is really a working day

Thursday is spent thinking of how to finish up this week's work and also planning a 'stowaway' for the weekend

Omigosh, TGIF; its Friday again! Finish up what was started on Wednesday, early beers, break for the weekend

Saturday is HOLIDAY, rest well, play hard...

The week repeats itself

Its Tough Getting Started... why complain when you only need to work one day in a week? Happy working...

Work to Live, do not live to work

Rewards and its attendant ill-effects

In the World of the Blind, the one-eye man is the King...

Who determines whose life?

When you don't pay, underpay or overpay the employee, the result is equally disastrous ...
- don't pay : nothing gets done
- underpay : something get done but incomplete
- overpay : nothing gets done because time is spent protecting his own turf, cooking excuses and shifting responsibilities to others 少做少错,没做不会错

The is a limit to rewarding materially for good work or a job done well

Money alone is ineffective as too much (rewarding luxuriously) of it brews complacency, 'I know best' attitude, thoughts of being indispensable, devious schemes to keep others (and other ideas) out... the ills are not dissimilar to the Emperor without clothes; "worship the Paymaster and kill the disquiet challenges"

Excuses take the place of reasons
Inaction replaces initiatives
Ring-fencing and power grab breed contempts

Is money the one and only motivator? No...
- Ask Gandhi, Lech Walesa, Sun ZhongSun, Ho ChiMin...
- Ask Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Zhang ChengFei, Li YanHng...

You may be born poor but don't stay poor
Entrepreneurs are born but few manifest into successes
Leaders are born but few make it to great respectable stature

钱不是万能;没钱万万不能。

Work with passion
Die for a cause
Eat to live and NOT live to eat

When you force/make the World to eat out of your hand
Beware!
Someday, your hands will be bitten

Life's Reality Can't Be Pawned

live best when others live worst... Be at peace with yourself The calm ocean has strong undercurrents The peaceful, picturesque & serene...
